We celebrate assembly every day at St Bons.
The head teacher and deputy share a weekly ethos assembly with the children at the start of each week which is based on building God's kingdom at St Bonaventure's.
There is a weekly head teachers assembly which is linked to our termly gospel themes: Love thy Neighbour, Seek the Truth and Care for our Common home
Every Wednesday we share separate gospel assemblies with FS/ Key stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The assembly for younger pupils is based on 'Wednesday Word' and includes a follow up class reflection. The Key Stage 2 assembly is based on Ten:Ten collective worship materials and the children are involved in the planning and delivery of that assembly.
On Thursday we often celebrate key stage or year group assemblies. We also have singing assemblies or assembly led by the school chaplains.
We end our week with a celebration themed Praise assembly. Pupils' efforts are recognised and certificates are awarded to pupils who have been their brilliant best. This includes 'Walk the walk' awards for children who live out gospel values.
Throughout the year we visit the church to celebrate Mass with the parish community.
