Meet The Team

Mrs Webber

Play Leader

Mrs Webber is responsible for the day to day management of the After School Club and Holiday Playscheme.
She has a wealth of experience working with children; she has worked in after school and holiday club provisions as well as a background of being a Learning Support Assistant.
Mrs Webber has a Diploma Level 3 in Childcare and Education and has completed many training courses to support her roles.
She is enthusiastic about providing children with high quality activities and play opportunities to extend their development in a safe and nurturing environment, as well as supporting the needs of all families.
She is available to contact via email, phone (Kidzone mobile) or Monday – Friday in the Kidzone base (DT room)
Mrs Webber also works as a School Meals Supervisory Assistant supporting children’s play and social opportunities during their lunch breaks.
When she is not working, Mrs Webber enjoys trying new recipes and spending time outdoors.

Miss Thompson

Play Worker

Prior to joining KidZone in 2015 Miss Thompson worked in school and early years’ settings across Bristol and came to the Playworker role holding a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Since joining KidZone Miss Thompson has obtained an NVQ Level 2 in Playwork and received further training in Paediatric First Aid, Child Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and Makaton, among other things.
She also works during the school day as an SMSA (school meals supervisory assistant) and covers absence for several LSAs.

Mrs Sandford

Playworker

Mrs Sandford has a Level 2 Play Work qualification, a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and is an experienced First Aider.
Mrs Sandford is passionate about art and has experience of teaching creative workshops such as print making and den building at After School Clubs around Bristol.
Mrs Sandford can usually be found making a mess at the art table or baking table!

Mrs Correa

Play Worker

Mrs. Correa joined the Kidzone team in September of 2022, she has also been working at St Bon's since May 2021 as SMSA (School Meals Supervisory Assistant).
Originally from Brazil, she is a Psychologist with a Master's Degree in Development Psychology. She has previous experience working in primary schools in Brazil where used to help children develop and improve their social skills, getting children to reflect about their social problems and finding appropriate solutions. In her master's, the goal was to use 'books and storytelling' to improve children's social skills and reduce behavioral problems.
Mrs. Correa is enthusiastic, friendly and kind with everyone.
She is willing to learn and she's already completed training in Pediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, among other things. Mrs. Correa loves children and always says “working with children is very gratifying because children will be our future”.

Ms Guirreri

Play Worker

After many years living and teaching English in Sicily; Mrs Guirreri came back to the UK and has been working at St Bon's since 2016 as an SMSA and member of the Breakfast Club team.
She joined the Kidzone team in September 2022.
Mrs Guirreri speaks fluent Italian.
She has recieved training in child safeguarding and food hygiene.
Mrs Guirreri currently has a daughter in Year 5, so she has an insight of the school as a parent too.

Mrs Higgins

Play Worker

Mrs Higgins was born in Malaysia but has lived in Britain for almost 10 years now.
She speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and English.
Prior to taking on her role in the After School club she has and, still does work as a school meals supervisory assistant. She also helps out at Breakfast club.
Her previous experience was in a school setting; helping out at a church school that her mother ran in Malaysia.
Mrs Higgins joined the After School Club team in September 2022.

Ms Alan

Agency Play Worker

Mrs Cela

Play Worker

Mrs Cela joined KidZone in 2019 first as an agency Play worker and then in 2021 as a member of the team. She has more than 15 years of experience in the childcare field, including 11 years of teaching Albanian Literacy and Language in a secondary school, and a background of being a Learning Support Assistant in schools across Bristol.
Mrs Cela has a (Dip HE) Teacher of Language and Literature in Secondary School. Also to support her role she has a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning .
Since joining KidZone Mrs Cela has obtained further training in: Child Protection, Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Administration of medication and Understanding Anaphylaxis .During the school day she works as a SMSA and supports individual children to integrate and play .
Mrs Cela loves to plan art and craft and organise fun and educational activities both indoors and outdoors. She believes that play helps children to use their creativity ,while developing their imagination and physical, cognitive and emotional strength.
