Curriculum statement

We recently held a curriculum information evening for parents of children from Y1 to Y6. You can see the presentation we gave below.

We help our pupils grow through...

  • Offering a broad and stimulating curriculum that is meaningful and relevant to the children and gives opportunities for them to engage in their learning
  • Demonstrating how to live and treat others through Gospel values
  • Praising effort as well as achievement
  • Always seeking to improve through setting and expecting high standards for everyone in our community
  • Taking action and showing responsibility for others less fortunate than ourselves and for the world in which we live.

This year we have revised our approach to the teaching of our curriculum to meet the needs of all our children. We have identified three themes linked directly to our gospel values which underpin the cross-curricular approach to the teaching of all subjects. Lessons are less and less separated into discrete subjects, and more and more linked together to provide a broad curriculum where subject-specific knowledge and skills are used to explore the common theme.

  • Care for Our Common Home
  • Love Thy Neighbour
  • Seek the Truth

If you would like to find out more about the curriculum for any subject or year group, please email the office, speak to your class teacher, or request to speak to the subject leader.
