Mrs Webber is responsible for the day to day management of the After School Club and Holiday Playscheme.
She has a wealth of experience working with children; she has worked in after school and holiday club provisions as well as a background of being a Learning Support Assistant.
Mrs Webber has a Diploma Level 3 in Childcare and Education and has completed many training courses to support her roles.
She is enthusiastic about providing children with high quality activities and play opportunities to extend their development in a safe and nurturing environment, as well as supporting the needs of all families.
She is available to contact via email, phone (Kidzone mobile) or Monday – Friday in the Kidzone base (DT room)
Mrs Webber also works as a School Meals Supervisory Assistant supporting children’s play and social opportunities during their lunch breaks.
When she is not working, Mrs Webber enjoys trying new recipes and spending time outdoors.
Mrs Sandford
Deputy Play Leader
Mrs Sandford has a Level 2 Play Work qualification, a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and is an experienced First Aider.
Mrs Sandford is passionate about art and has experience of teaching creative workshops such as print making and den building at After School Clubs around Bristol.
Mrs Sandford can usually be found making a mess at the art table or baking table!
Miss Thompson
Play Worker
Prior to joining KidZone in 2015 Miss Thompson worked in school and early years’ settings across Bristol and came to the Playworker role holding a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Since joining KidZone Miss Thompson has obtained an NVQ Level 2 in Playwork and received further training in Paediatric First Aid, Child Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and Makaton, among other things.
She also works during the school day as an SMSA (school meals supervisory assistant) and covers absence for several LSAs.
Mrs Higgins
Play Worker
Mrs Higgins was born in Malaysia but has lived in Britain for almost 10 years now.
She speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Malay and English.
Prior to taking on her role in the After School club she has and, still does work as a school meals supervisory assistant. She also helps out at Breakfast club.
Her previous experience was in a school setting; helping out at a church school that her mother ran in Malaysia.
Mrs Higgins joined the After School Club team in September 2022.
